We are a team of vision – oriented people who have taken on the mandate to
contribute to the development and wellbeing of humanity through investment in the
formal education sector.
We are a not – for profit agency. We are involved in the education sector for the
social good of the children, youth and their families. We take on the social
entrepreneurship approach to education through working with like - minded
individuals and institutions. Therefore, the organisation does not exploit the poor and
needy but rather, works hand in hand with them to improve their condition and
wellbeing.
Emmanuel Mwesigwa SAKIRA is the Founder, Chair of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Les Flammes Africa. He has twenty-five years’ experience of working with children and young people in development projects. He is a Leadership Provider. He has been engaged in school construction projects for more than fifteen years, with a total of ten School projects involved and still counting.
John BATWALA is the Secretary of the Board. He is a Public Servant in the Ministry of Local Government where he has more than twenty-one years of experience. He is also a proprietor of Nursery and Primary Schools. His experience as a school proprietor is vital in ensuring that Les Flammes Africa is guided to remain focused in delivering learning outcomes in the formal education sector.
Beatrice A. NENA is the Treasurer of the Board. She is an Accountant by training.
She has more than twenty-two years of experience working with children, youth and community development projects. She has worked with National and International development agencies in her practice. Her experience and expertise helps Les Flammes Africa have and maintain sound financial systems and behavior.
